Art, Aesthetics and Beyond: 3rd BSA Postgraduate Conference

Art, Aesthetics and Beyond will be a two-day event where postgraduates will be able to present their research, share ideas and interact with each other and established members of the academic community. The distinctive aim of the conference is to investigate the boundaries of aesthetics, its relevance for the art world and its intersection with cognate areas in philosophy, such as philosophy of mind, philosophy of perception, moral philosophy. To achieve this aim, the conference will encourage presentation proposals from postgraduate students whose area of specializations are both within and outside aesthetics, as well as include a panel discussion and an innovative presentation format that will facilitate the dialogue between aesthetics, related disciplines and representatives of the art world. The conference will also mark and celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Aesthetics Research Centre at the University of Kent.
